More Planet Descriptions

These are a few more planets that influence your natal chart as well...

Sun: The sun is the ruler of the solar system and the planet of self in astrology. The planet describes your overall ego and is the sign most people describe themselves as. This planet also influences your basic traits, thoughts and interests.

Saturn: Saturn is the planet of oppositions, and can tell you how many challenges you come to face in your everyday life. This planet can also describe how you handle stress and how much stress you actually encounter.  

Moon: The moon is the planet of the emotional self. This planet describes how you handle your emotions and how stable your emotional self actually is. The moon is also the planet of the mind. Depending on where you moon is placed in your chart tells you how you think and what your philosophy is like.

Uranus: Uranus is the planet of sudden changes. This planet in your chart describes all the changes you'll encounter, how many changes you encounter, whether the changes will be big or small and how you handle the sudden change that comes you way.

(Just to clear a few things up in case there's any misconception here... you don't have an earth sign. Earth is not a planet that influences your chart)

Plant Descriptions

You have many different planets in your natal chart, with many different aspects as well. Here's a short description of some of the planets you'll find when exploring your chart...

Venus: Venus is the Roman goddess of love and the ruler of the planet Venus in astrology. This planet as you can guess describes your overall view on love. Depending on which sign Venus and what degree your planet is is describes how you give and receive love in the world.

Mars: Mars is the Roman god of war and the ruler of the planet mars in astrology. This planets describes your confrontation and physic manifestation of energy. Depending on how this planet is placed can described can say whether you're a lover or a fighter.

Mercury: Mercury is the Roman god of messages and the ruler of the planet mercury in astrology. This planet in your chart describes how you communicate. Depending on how this planet is placed and what sign it's in can say whether you never shut up or don't talk at all.

     All these planets affect everyone, because everyone has a natal chart. As long as you know your birth day and time, you should be able to find all your planets and your houses accurately.

Cardinal Sign Description

     Cardinal signs are the most dominate signs of astrology. Every one of the signs are at the first of their season so of course they play a leading role. Aries is the first fire sign, the most aggressive and has the most 'leader like' qualities of the fire signs and of astrology (It's the first sign of astrology) Cancer is the first water sign and the most dominate water sign by being the most motherly. Libra is not the first air, although it is the only one to land on the begining of a season and the only sign of astrology to be portrayed by an inanimate object. It is known for a somewhat bossy nature, and is the most outgoing of the air signs. Capricorn is not the first earth sign, but once again lads on the beginning of a season. It is known for being quiet bossy and self centered. Capricorn is a work based sign and is known for being 'super boss'.
     These are the Cardinal signs of astrology. These signs have the most leader like qualities of astrology and are known for 'setting plans in motion'. A cardinal sign is simply a sign with a more dominate way of achieving it's goal. So if you are a cardinal sign, don't be afraid to show your leadership qualities. The world needs it.

Water Sign Description

     Water signs are known for they're emotional views on life, sensitivity and nurturing nature toward man kind. The three water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. These three signs all have those traits in common. Signs are categorized by their views and overall 'goal'. The overall 'goal' for water signs is to bring a more emotional sense to others in this life. That's why they are the nurturers.
     Although these signs want the same thing, they go about it in different ways. Cancer, which is a cardinal sign has a more dominat way of archiving things. It's a motherly sign and will try to look after others that it loves. Scorpio, a fixed sign has a more mysterious way of archiving things. Scorpios have a way of keeping its life secret while finding out yours. Finally Pisces, a mutable sign has many different ways of archiving things. It can nurture like cancer and it can be mysterious like Scorpio. Pisces also has a way with people and can relate to others quite well.
     Well these are the water signs, the most caring of the zodiac. All three signs have different ways of archiving their goals but in the end want the same thing.

More Than Sun Sign?

     So you know your sun sign right? That's great! But what if your sun sign doesn't sound too much like you? No, you're not a weird Leo and no astrology didn't get you wrong. Your sun sign may not sound like you because there are other planetary aspects influencing you. You are far more than your sun sign. There's a thing called a Natal chart, which describes each and everything about your personality and your aspects of life. There are two very important aspects you Natal chart will cover, your planetary aspects and the aspect of each of your houses. Your planets represent your personality and your houses represent your life. A little confused? Well here's an example...
     Lets say you're a Gemini. There supposed to be great talkers, but lets just pretend you're not. This isn't as astrology's fault for being wrong, your mercury could simply get you tongue tied. Mercury is the plant of communication. That planet in your chart describes how you communicate. So if your mercury is in Cancer, you communicate like a Cancer. Cancer isn't a talkative sign... That could be the reason you clam up when people talk to you.

These are the signs are their types. I'll go farther into descriptions of the sign types, polarity and elements later. This is just for beginners to learn which signs are which and what element they belong to.

This is the zodiac charting in order. This is also the order of the lords of the houses. (If you're a beginner you don't need to worry about that right now) So find your month and day to see what sun sign you fit under.
